OK so I basically have the cutest and smartest dog in the world. She maybe the sassiest and most annoying, but she looks good doing it and totally understands human.

sooo my parents and I are watching American Idol ( i <3 paul) and Iwa the Diva, my beloved yorky, is whining and barking in the the guest bathroom (of which she has never done)…we yell at her ‘shut up, youre weird’ and she whines a couple more times then tries to go outside in the plants, we let her be.

She then walks back inside to the bathroom and tries to jump in the toilet(still barking annoyingly), i pick her up and set her, with the seat down, on the toilet and she sniffs around then jumps up on the sink…”what are you doing Iwa you freak???!!!” she starts frantically licking the faucet so i turn it on and she drinks the water like a cat… ‘Oh youre thirsty!’ and then I check her water bowl and I forgot to fill it up today!! whoooops:) but completely solidifies her position as smartest dog around! akamai:)

Dani Fkn Powers!!!

I GOT EFFING MARRIED, AND I HAVE THE BEST NEW RACE CAR DRIVER NAME EVER!!!!

haha but seriously, could my new name get any more redneck?!?!!  This glorious day happened Jan 15 2011 and it was the worse 2 week weather on Kauai:( Thank God on that Saturday it didnt rain….well it poured for 5 minutes during the reception but by then I could care less if it rained vomit. I was so blessed that it was the only day that week it wasnt hurricane weather, although it was humid as hell. I will write then post pics.

I got ready on the southside at my parents house, my sis did my makeup and my fellow bird missy did my hair. Everything came out perfect!! The house was hectic, but thats pretty standard on the day of…right?!! haha we could just be freaks anyways. I had my sis, her bf and my wedding coordinator alana putting up a million lanterns and center pieces at the reception place(plantion gardens) up untill the last minutes!!! I didnt have enough lights for the lanterns and I had miss hoku running around town looking for  jimmyrigg versions, it was typical last minute fuck ups that made the day that much more exciting…not.

My family piled in the limo and started the hour drive up to the northshore for the ceremony. I put the ceremony decorations, tent, and organization in Roy’s moms hands and was anxious to see the outcome…I was delightfully surprised:) I had my friend Kepa Kruse play slack key while everyone arrived and had a bagpiper play as I walked down the aisle.

I didnt think I would cry, but it was soo weird not being able to control your emotions and I made the ugliest faces trying to hold back tears and I just ended up looking constipated ( i would redo it over again in a heartbeat to change this!!!) We had Roys buddy’s dad marry us and he was short and sweet just how I like it. We did the sand ceremony where you take the sands from each of our beaches and combine them. Roys sand went in easy and my sand was a little more stubborn, it was a total representation of us!!!

15 minutes later we jumped in the limo and headed back to the southside for the party…errr reception I wanted it to be just a party and that it was! We are pretty untraditional so we only did father daughter dance and first dance and spent the rest of the nite drinking eating and dancing. I was especially proud of my signature cocktails that I had made, one was an old fav that my sister and I made up a couple years ago called the ninja ginga which is basically a lemon drop but ginger instead of lemon, and the other drink was a cucumber infused vodka with lavender infused simple syrup soda and limejuice!! sooo yummy. We went thru 26 liters of vodka that nite! I would expect nothing less from my friends Plus it was my master plan for liquoring up our friends so they give more money to us during the money dance

The best part  was ending the nite with ‘sweet caroline’ karaoke dance with the entire party on the dance floor surrounding Roy and I <3

we snuck out forgetting my dress, shoes, and roys jacket…it was a good nite:) BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!

Rebecca Minkoff Bag Heaven

A few monthes ago I was crying over a bag I didnt get at Nordstrom rack, I couldnt stop thinking about it, I actually lost sleep over it!! Pathetic, I KNOW I have a deep purse love that I’m ashamed to admit, considering I’m broke… Anyways back to THAT bag, it was a Rebecca Minkoff purse in a beautiful ivory. There were sooo many signs that I needed to get one of her bags. First, the DAY I came home from the Rack, after I discovered my love, I turn on Housewives of NYC (looooove that show, Danielle is loco)  crazy lady’s daughter is a runway model for Rebecca! Second, I check Roys twitter after the show and his friend Sal tweeted that he was at a Rebecca Minkoff sample sale and all the ladies were going bananas! OOOOOOOK I was tripping by the end of the day….

I’ve said it, you’ve said it, and your mom said it…. WHo the Hell Is that girl Ke$ha?!?! Key-sha? Kash-a? Ke-sha?!?!

So I took the time to find out the answers to everyones question (you can now rest peacefully at nite, Your welcome!)

This chick is 23 yrs old, she has number one hits ( of which i hate, but cant seem to get out of my head:(..) I guess shes a song writer for a bunch of D-list artists, and was making it in the music biz before she got her own songs out there….

She was featured in that show paris hilton did, The Simple Life, and apparently Paris wasnt friendly to her last year when Kesha made it ‘big’ and so she got drunk at Paris’ house and puked in her closet niiiiiiiiice.

Another fun fact, Kesha was the female vocals on Flo Ridas ‘right round’ song and never got a dime from it or recognition! ummm that song was kinda huge.

anyways i still cant tell if she can sing or not, every song she rap/talk sings, AHEM, I COULD DO THAT!!! and we all know I will be an awesome singer in my next life ,GOD just forgot it in this life:)

Mama got her ring!!!

Sooo my silly little boy toy proposed to me with a really cute temp ring (size 8, im 4.5) and ever since then I was searching for the perfect one, which is ridiculously hard. I can honestly say I’m a certified jeweler after all the diamonds/ settings I’ve seen!! I totally led poor jewelers on just to ignore their phone calls when I found a new person…sooo stressful I tell you!

I finally found a place I was psyched on a they were really nice and wanted me to have exactly what I wanted while staying in my budget. They hand crafted every setting so we worked together created my dream ring well, theres room for an upgrade on the 10yr mark or 5yr, or whenever the world decides to throw money at me

ANYWAYS I got the ring 3 days later and I LOVE it!!!!!

Wine Tasting Margaret River pt.2

Day 2 of my market research wine tasting job was GLORIOUS… I thought by the end of the first day(3 wineries) I was a tipsy mess, try 5 wineries and a brewery. yeah! I did ! and was a hot mess with purple teeth.

This time we had a different crew with us, Jesse MJ and his lovely GF Briana, and Joel C. Roy of course was our skipper (silly ozzy word for DD) thanks babe!

Joel had an assignment by his wife to go to a certain winery and get her 4 bottles and bring em back to Hawaii(mind you there are 100s of wineries there, lil overwhelming, so direction was good)…so with no schedule we started at Flying Fish Cove. They were a little botique winery much smaller scale than the 1st day places, which was nice and more personal. Plus the dude poured heavy and there were 15 to try…yea we started big right off the bat.

From there we went to Saracen Estate and Duckstein Brewery (where we ate lunch too), Knee Deep Wines, Vasse Felix Estates, and Cullen Wines.

A cool thing about Cullen Wines that seperate it from the rest, is thier Biodynamically grown vines…which is a fancy way of saying they make the fertilizer and everything for the grapes organically.  Also my fav reds of the day.

… glasses of wine started blending together by Vasse Felix, and I was stealing grapes off the vine to eat!! ps they’re sweet and yummy!

Good thing I took notes and wrote EVERYTHING down… well I’ve got nothing for Vasse Felix, or Knee Deep..only awesome pics!! Saracen Estates was really new so I wasnt digging the wine or lady pouring it…yotchy.

Flying Fish Cove~ 2007 Chardonnay was easy drinking white & was the 4 bottles Joel had to get for Ash! $22

2007 Cleanskin Rose because Roy likes Roses and  was really refreshing not too sweet or dry. $15

2007 wildberry Estate Cab Sauvignon was the best of the reds, big and jammy. $29

Cullen Wines~ 2007 Cab Sauvignon Merlot very tasty. $39

My new hobby is wine tasting!! Can’t believe I’ve never been and come from the family I do… My parents own a wine shop, our house is a mini liquor store, and my last name is O’CONNELL!!!

Roy and I love going to Margaret River in West Oz, its a nice change from the Gold Coast. Its waaay cooler and a lot less people with not much to do but  it has Wineries EVERYWHERE! Besides the contest going on and large consumptions of alcohol, Roy proposed to me <3

My mama gave me a homework assignment of wineries to check out so I called it my work Sooo while I was ‘market reasearching’ the area I hit up 8 wineries and 1 brewery in 2 days!! was awesome:)

The first day we went with Brett and his fiance Danielle to Voyager, Leeuwin Estate, and Xanadu. We started really good We had lunch at Voyager too and it was soo good and so $$$ but worth it! We bought a couple bottles and moved on… to Leeuwin Estate. The boys were fading by the 5th tester so Danielle and I held it down trying 15 types The wineries close pretty early so we literally ran to Xanadu to sqeeze 1 more in for the day.

Wine notes: Voyager 2009 sauvignon blanc semillon- good ‘cheap’ white not too sweet, everyone liked it $22

Voyager 2008 shiraz- Really good and smooth *bought a bottle $31

Leeuwin Estate  2007 Prelude Chardonnay- I dont usually like Chards but this one was money…$31.50

Leuwin Estate 2004 Art series Cabernet Sauvignon- This was the bonus wine and was soooo yummy too expensive to for us I wish I did. $56.50

Xanadu had really sweet wines that I wasnt really into…plus coming from the previous ones there was no comparison.

Lady GAGA is performing in LA Aug 11….and VEGAS AUG 13!!! I was soooo sad knowing shes here in Australia and I was missing her by a couple days everywhere I went This just erased it all away!!! happy happy joy joy US tour dates is the icing to my happiness cake!!
